The fix, done from a stocked truck.

Financing

A new door or a big repair rarely lands at a convenient time. We offer financing through GreenSky, so you can get the work done now and pay over time. Apply online in minutes with a soft credit check that does not affect your score, then pick a no interest promotional plan or a longer fixed rate term. Senior, military, and first responder discounts stack with it.

Meet the Owner, Tyler Martin

Local Garage Doors is owned and run by Tyler Martin, who has spent 30 years in the garage door trade. He started the company in 2013 with a single standard: garage door work done the right way, in the communities we live in. That kind of experience shows up in the details, in a job diagnosed correctly the first time instead of a part swapped on a guess.

We are family owned and local, and every technician is trained to the standard Tyler holds himself to, so the person at your door treats it the way we would treat our own. Family owned also means you are not handed off. The team that handles your job is the one that shows up, sizes the parts correctly, and backs the work with a warranty. Tyler would rather earn your next call by being straight with you on this one. That is how we have built our name across California, Nevada, and Arizona, one door at a time.

Garage Door Questions We Get Asked Every Day

Straight answers to what people actually search for, with real prices rather than a promise to call for a quote. Every price below is the total you pay, parts, labor and tax included.

Most garage door repairs run $150 to $800 as a total price including parts, labor and tax. Smaller jobs sit at the low end of that: safety sensors $95 to $200, worn rollers or snapped cables $150 to $300. Spring replacement runs $250 to $850. You get the written price before any work begins, and nothing gets added at the end.

A door that reverses halfway down or refuses to close at all, and nine times out of ten the cause is the safety sensors. One gets bumped out of alignment, the beam breaks, and the opener will not let the door close. Realigning or replacing the sensors runs $95 to $200 as a total price including parts, labor and tax. Wipe the lenses and check the indicator lights before you call anyone.

A residential door weighs 150 to 400 pounds and the springs holding it are wound tight enough to cause serious injury. The price covers a licensed technician, the correct part sized to your door, the tools that make the job safe, and a workmanship warranty. Our trucks carry the common parts, so most repairs finish in one visit instead of two.

It is if the door is stuck open, a car is trapped inside, or the door has come off its track and is hanging. Those are security and safety problems, not inconveniences. We run calls around the clock, every day of the year. After hours emergency work runs $250 to $1,000 as a total price including parts, labor and tax, which includes a $100 to $200 dispatch.

A licensed garage door company, not an electrician and not a general handyman. Opener faults are often door faults: a door that is out of balance makes the opener work harder and fail early, so whoever fixes it needs to check the springs, rollers and tracks too. We are licensed in California, Nevada and Arizona and we service LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Marantec and more.

New doors run $1,000 to $10,000 installed as a total price including parts, labor and tax. Insulated steel doors sit in the $1,000 to $5,000 part of that range, custom wood and full view glass doors in the $4,000 to $10,000 part. The price covers the door, new tracks and rollers, springs sized to the door, removal and haul away of the old one, and the install itself. There is currently $250 off a new garage door.

Repair, in most cases. Most repairs run $150 to $800 against $1,000 to $10,000 for a new door, both as a total price including parts, labor and tax. Replacement is the better call when panels are rusted or dented through, when the door has failed structurally, or when you want insulation and a quieter door and the old one owes you nothing.
